Philip Hoyle

He has spent most of his working life in general accountancy practice in Lancaster, Morecambe and Kendal, looking after  accountancy affairs of a very diverse range of small business clients including book-keeping, management accounting, forecasting, accounts and tax return preparation.

He also had a few years “in industry” on the Board of Directors of an award winning local design & manufacturing company engaged in the international oil and gas industry. As Company Secretary and Company Accountant, he was responsible for the finances of a fast growing multi-million pound company, controlling cash flow, setting up financial reporting systems and managing a small team of accounting staff.

Along the way, Philip has been the treasurer & secretary of the local group of the Institute of Advanced Motorists, the secretary of the Lancashire & Cumbria district society of Chartered Certified Accountants and has taught accountancy at a local college of further education.

Although he can turn his hand to most aspects of small business tax and accounting, his real passion lies with management accounting, preparation of forecasts, business planning and new business start-ups as he enjoys making a difference and helping small businesses to grow and reach their full potential.
